“Watching” (a poem by Shannon Vance & KPKeelan)

.

From the sun
comes the Light.

Vibrating in waves,
it is a song.

Its journey forms
the flow of time.
The objects it strikes
reflect or absorb
according to their nature.
Colors blend in harmony,
as the wind blows
the trees.

I am watching
the Light come to my mind.

From the source
comes all-consuming ENERGY,
charged electricity spawning
lesser energies.

All
is independent of us.

All is interdependent.

+  +  +  +  +  +  +  +  +

Changing
into a stable pattern-
evolving,
my mind
is reflecting upon itself,

distributing the Light
of my senses.

    • The date is listed at the bottom Stacy: 11- 24- 78. Thanks for your generous characterization of this piece as a “gem”. It is pretty good, isn’t it? Could be the best piece Shannon & I ever wrote together. I love Shannon to no end, but I think the poems I wrote with Stuart were more successful on the whole.
