Poems of a Young Man: “Psychedelics”

Psycho Heart.

consciousness

stripped of its many disguises

shrouded in mystery

altered

exchanged

for a larger frame

or discarded

for something NEW

or nothing at all

that’s all

thinking

blending into ACTION

or just sitting

believing

discovering the covering

clothing flesh and ghosts

real

and imagined

s t r i p p e d   b a r e

eyes simply stare

bare eyes flare

swallow

and transcend

hoping to melt

even further

down to the stuff we are made of.
