Poems of a Young Man: “Blind Showgirl’s Blues”

Her cup

runneth over with empty.

Her black blinds unfurled

in worldly wind.

Seepage tasting so sweet

on her dull tongue.

Her blind belligerence

draped in wise

idiot outcry

So sigh a silent sigh and

cry cry

shy showgirl.

Let go

those sealed blinds.

Open your

unused eyes.

Put your foot down

and say:

“I am

and this is!”

And let the chips fall

where they may.
