Poems of a Young Man: “THE INFINITE IDEA”

*

Glimmering

like the vapor-trail of some glowing solution

never acknowledged,

it seizes me!

burns brightly

illuminating my thoughts,

before it flickers

and then dies out

spectacularly smattering

like ink splattering on pavement

in a final blast of tribute

to

that which can never be realized-

a thought I never had

or don’t remember having…

the Infinite Idea.
