Poems of a Young Man: “Wading Into Day” (a poem by KPKeelan)

The clear wrap of day

packages my head

for delivery…

Droplets of sunshine

penetrate my pores

and well up inside me

like a growing underground reservoir.

These fingerprints of day

leave whispers on my eyes.

They drape me in a disguise

I hardly recognize,

drenching me

in surprise and wonder.

I remember this!
