Jan. 1: Welcome to “TWEETS OF A TWIT!” a fresh lunacy I will unleash upon an unsuspecting world in 2016. Daily Twitter ponderings of 140 characters. (1)

Jan. 2: If God had to live here on earth, exist as we do, and suffer our struggles & sorrows- would he start to grow skeptical of his own existence? (2)

Jan. 3: There is this moment, and then there is… THIS MOMENT.  The past is a fable we tell ourselves. Let’s face it: “THIS MOMENT IS ALL WE HAVE”. (3)

Jan. 4: It’s rare that my mind is a blank/There’s a real hubbub going on in there! But I sure do cherish those rare “empty” moments in grateful joy. (4)

Jan. 5: What new bullshit will I accept today without critical thought? We live so much of our lives on autopilot is it any wonder we suffer for it? (5)

Jan. 6: Do you believe in MAGIC or are you too old to indulge in the possibility of such unexplained wonderfulness? Luv is common magic we overlook. (6)

Jan. 7: Navigating human relations can be the most delicate of balancing acts. We are such fragile creatures and yet we treat each other so roughly. (7)

Jan. 8: Sometimes we don’t know what we have to say until we gather the intestinal fortitude to do it, and find- that we are deeper than we thought. (8)

Jan. 9: I feel a great sympathy for Charlie Brown’s glass forehead, blushing when Lucy admonishes: I know what you’re thinking and just STOP IT NOW! (9)

Jan. 10: Have you noticed it’s usually better to have a pizza around than not to have a pizza around? If u were a pizza, what would your toppings be? (10)

Jan. 11: I’m such a busybody I’ve got to keep myself occupied at all times. It begs the question: “WHAT AM I TRYING TO DISTRACT MYSELF FROM, ANYWAY?” (11)

Jan. 12: This rising tide of anti-intellectual denial of science terrifies me! America’s mantra-I’VE MADE UP MY MIND/DON’T CONFUSE ME WITH THE FACTS. (12)

Jan. 13: On winter nights when the temps drop dangerously low, I pray for the homeless- the invisible legions of castaways huddling under the bridge. (13)

Jan. 14: How much do you value your Freedom of Speech? Would you be willing to die for it? How would you feel about loved one being killed 4 speech? (14)

Jan. 15: Think of your life. Now multiply that by 7 billion other human beings all cherishing their lives and loves just like you/Hard to fathom yes? (15)

Jan. 16: What is youth for/Is it wasted on the young? Look @ those smooth faces/that innocence/the sense of discovery! Do they know they may get old? (16)

Jan. 17: Ever have one of those days where reality is so surreal that it’s hard to tell your ass from a hole in the ground? Time to head back to bed! (17)

Jan. 18: I can’t imagine living life without reveling in the boundless ecstasies of art/What some people see as a luxury of life, I see as essential! (18)

Jan. 19: Superman championed the ideas Truth, Justice & The American Way. Whatever happened to that? When did America part ways with truth & justice? (19)

Jan. 20: The Holy God of The Marketplace drives everything in a race to the bottom. When it comes to the lowest common denominator how low can we go? (20)

Jan. 21: Memory is a cheap whore indulging our fragile little egos with the most elaborate of fantasy constructed as a veil to mask our insecurities. (21)

Jan. 22: Rett Zero has been gone some time but his humor remains. He used to sing: “I could be happy the rest of my life with a with a cinnamon bun!” (22)

Jan. 23: I want people to be happy- but when they choose willful ignorance and a denial of science to get there, they do themselves a big disservice. (23)

Jan. 24: OK: Have you thought much about thinking? Most folks do, I think. (Some of us think a bit too much.) When you did think, what did you think? (24)

Jan. 25: Been alive a long time now/There couldn’t possibly be all that much left for me. But I am enjoying life more and more as I care less & less. (25)

Jan. 26: Everyone wants to tinker around the edges. It’s time to give a hard serious look at our basic underlying assumptions & question foundations. (26)

Jan. 27: I live in continual fear that I will do what I have done (to some extent,) pretty much every day of my life so far… F**k up spectacularly! (27)

Jan. 28: We are SO DAMN BUSY all the time in this madly driven country! Remember to schedule some time to just be. Dream and don’t forget to breathe! (28)

Jan. 29: Why do we insist that people’s worst mistakes follow them around- from place to place, day to day, throughout their lives? Can’t we forgive? (29)

Jan. 30: Some kinds of foods I’ll just never get. Mushrooms, for instance. Who was the first to say: “That’s growing out of shit. Guess I’ll eat it!” (30)

Jan. 31: I am enjoying the challenge of communicating within 140 characters. It’s a discipline, and not unlike haiku in its stripped-down simplicity. (31)
