mild forms of euphoria

grip and grind their way

through the millenium.

squeezing through soapy sandpaper

riding on the tide-

felt by membrane fingers

in anticipation of

the purge;

stainless and starless

we emerge.

epilogue:

After licking the stains of

blue spaghetti sauce from

stiff dark velvet gloves turned inside-out,

all anchors dropped,

all barriers-

EATEN.
