2013 GUESTBOOK 102: “Nectar of Secrets” (by Stuart Vance & Kevin Keelan)

Proposing a toast

we raise our bodies high.

Bathing me in bathos

I extract my thermos

and sip

the Nectar of Secrets.

(Careful not to smile.)

Doing the dog-paddle with the other mutts,

I thrash around unerringly,

stopping only at stop signs

(to cheat a breath of freshness),

moving only on command

(unless they’re not looking).

The ocean is strong

but I am stronger.

Nice sound and imagery. I was looking to read something this morning over coffe to help me wake to my day and I found this latest post. It took me to the stream of life where I splashed a bit of fresh water on my face and washed my feet. Very invigorating writing!

    • Kind of you to post your comments. Thanks for the kind words. I worked on an entirely intuitive level with Stuart. We wrote many together during our creative partnership in the early 80’s. Frankly, I didn’t think much of them at the time I remember, but i like them now. Thanks for reading Donald!

Love to hear your (constructive) thoughts!
