OUTWARDS:

he stares at the

blue of the sea

seeming to see

through his glasses

his eyeballs

his brain

and his being…

 

But no words are spoken, as

 

INWARDS:

he dwells in the

void that is born

in the absence of hope

and beauty

and love

at the peak of his weakness

when compasses lie…

 

Still

no words are spoken,

 

as

outwards

turns

inwards

and inwards

 

turns inside out.

    • Did I omit the date at the bottom? It’s very, very ancient. This year I am kind of on hiatus in KPKworld. I’ve frankly put it on autopilot by flushing out the vaults of old cobwebbed material while I focus on the “2013” poem-a-day project, intended for publication every day of 2014. It is a bit freshened, I applied some judicious editing…
