2013 GUESTBOOK 71: “Dream of Me (for Kevin)” (by Kelly Lynch)

.

Eyes blue he sails upon a silent white ship

stranded in an ocean.

Looking- seeing his reflection in the water

he casts funny faces-

testing the depth of the water

until he becomes cold.

He is thin

and almost a beautiful woman.

His eyes engulf and melt

in a ray of misty moonlight.

Leaning against the ship- he sleeps

and dreams of me.

One Response to 2013 GUESTBOOK 71: “Dream of Me (for Kevin)” (by Kelly Lynch)

  1. When I was a young man, I had a crush on an even younger woman. We went for a walk on the floating pontoons of Neary’s Lagoon. I haven’t heard from her in over 30 years. She wrote this rather soulful poem for me.
