2013 GUESTBOOK 69: “Copperfield” (by Sandra Trom)

.

After the fields are gone

and copper fills their space

my love for you must find its way

where flowers held their place.

Your moonstar eyes cast lights

of emerald rays upon my sea

and all my waves turn lovely

as the ugly turns to flee.

While seaffish dance and play

upon the shores that you have seen

the oysters hug a beach of sand

of dust and golden dreams.

The time was always there

and the copper gleam shines on

a field of oldtime flowers

rather peaceful in their stay.

After the fields are gone

and copper fills their space

my love for you must find its way

where flowers held their place.
