2013 GUESTBOOK 67: “NEWness” (by Shannon Vance & Kevin Keelan)

.

What we need

are new traditions

with revived significance.

New rituals

not empty, like the old.

Newness!

Maybe even new taboos….

NEW MYTHOLOGY

DIFFERENT ROLE MODELS,

IMPROVED ARCHETYPES.

CAREFULLY CONSTRUCTED TO

IMBUE IN THE MASS PSYCHE

A DISTASTE FOR MACHISMO

(ULYSSES REPLACED BY EINSTIEN)

What we need

are new Einsteins.

Let’s reexamine

the concept of newness

and its opposite.

While we’re at it

let’s reexamine

everything!
