“Fountain of Youth” (a poem by KPKeelan)

Still living in a beautiful world,

little humans are a wellspring of faith.

Life is good.

The future will be good!

Ensconced in a magical coat of unsoiled innocence,

they are a world within the world.

So tender!  So brave!

So capable of change.

Oh, the things big humans could learn from them!

How to love.

How to play.

How to be.

What happens to that beautiful being

when we grow old and jaded?

Are they still here,

hiding incognito within us,

under our clothes,

beneath the skin-

 an ever-present walk-in

awaiting the radiant smile of a child

to reawaken?
