GUESTBOOK 2011- 11: “Moments Swim By” (by Erik Todd Anderson)

…The moments swim by

returning to return again…

Here I sit

like a bump on a log-

a log on a fire-

a fire in a wood stove.

I am contained…

There’s too much gravity today-

a standoff between driving forces

inside and outside of me.

if I could budge

perhaps I could catch the current…

(Or would I merely sink

in the still sea?)

“Let’s go!”

… The moments swim by …
