GUESTBOOK 2011- 9: “Watching” (by Shannon Vance & KPKeelan)

From the sun

comes the Light.

Vibrating in waves,

it is a song.

Its journey forms

the flow of time.

The objects it strikes

reflect or absorb

according to their nature.

Colors blend in harmony,

as the wind blows

the trees.

I am watching

the Light come to my mind.

*  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *

From the source

comes all-consuming ENERGY,

charged electricity spawning

lesser energies.

is independent of us.

All is interdependent.

+  +  +  +  +  +  +  +  +

into a stable pattern-

evolving: my mind

is reflecting upon itself,

distributing the Light

of my senses.

  1. Shannon Vance says:

Ya know… this sounds pretty good for hippy-physics poetry. IIDSSM 😉

  2. Stacy Fisher says:

    What year this gem?

    • The date is listed at the bottom Stacy: 11- 24- 78. Thanks for your generous characterization of this piece as a “gem”. It is pretty good, isn’t it? Could be the best piece Shannon & I ever wrote together. I love Shannon to no end, but I think the poems I wrote with Stuart were more successful on the whole.

Love to hear your (constructive) thoughts!
